During each day at our school there are structured, unstructured, active, and quiet activities. These may include art, music, story time, outdoor play, puppetry, block play and dress up.
Our curriculum is based on a sophisticated approach of alternating teacher-directed formal instruction with child-directed exploration and play. We help children become familiar with colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and learn skills that will help them build a foundation for their continued schooling.
Our daily activities include music, circle time, dramatic play, gross and small motor movement. Weekly curriculum consists of math, science, social studies, art, and language development. Indeed, music is taught by highly qualified external music teachers who create educational opportunities for children to sing, dance, and play various instruments. Additionally, we have a weekly yoga teacher that helps promote gross motor skills and cognitive development.
Skills used in living - friendship, compassion, cooperation, and kindness - are as much a part of our curriculum as math and science.
